For several years now, after the construction of the first wind farms, certain pathological processes have been observed in the foundations of wind turbines, particularly those with a foundation consisting of an upper plinth of reinforced concrete on the base itself, in which is embedded the metal mounting ferule topped by a horizontal flange, with no connecting bolts.
Traditional solutions such as injections or reinforcements (with metal or screed elements) are either non-effective in the medium term (injections) or are very laborious (reinforcements).
RETINEO Ingeniería is able to design and execute a solution (exterior reinforcement) that induces compression in the plinth, which:
- Improves adhesion of the concrete to the ferrule.
- Compensates radial traction.
- Generates circumferential compression, closing the cracks.
